What do you do when life hands you lemons? That’s easy – add fresh strawberries and make homemade strawberry lemonade! I make this with fresh strawberries and meyer lemons and it’s a quick, easy recipe that’s very welcome on a hot day. All you need are a few minutes and a blender – it’s so easy to make that you could totally whip this up to cool off after mowing the lawn – and if that’s not incentive to do yard work, I don’t know what is.
I kinda have a thing for strawberries. And lemons. And any combination of the two:
Weighing in at a skinny 48 calories per serving with zero added sugar, it’s easy to see that this homemade strawberry lemonade is the perfect drink for the dog days of summer. Now all I need is an endless supply of this poolside while someone fans me with palm fronds and I’ll be all set for another summer in the deep south!

1 cup stevia - the powdered kind used for baking, NOT the liquid!
1 cup warm water
1 1/4 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 6 lemons)
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
3 1/2 cups cold water
- Add 1 cup of warm water and 1 cup powdered stevia to a blender. Pulse until combined.
- Add hulled strawberries and lemon juice to the mixture in the blender. Blend until strawberries reach desired consistency.
- Combine 3 1/2 cups of cold water and the blended strawberry mixture in a pitcher. Add ice to chill.
Meyer lemons are sweeter than regular lemons, and strawberries are sweeter when very ripe - taste as you go and adjust the amount of stevia accordingly.
Other sweeteners like agave nectar or honey can be substituted for stevia. Adjust the calorie count accordingly if you're tracking calories.
